At KA Dojo, both children and adults train together in a dynamic mixed-class format, fostering a sense of community and mutual learning. Affiliated with WKO Shinkyokushin Singapore, KA Dojo upholds the values and standards of the broader Kyokushin community. Under the expert guidance of Shihan Kelvin Quah, students of all ages and skill levels are empowered to achieve personal growth, master their techniques, and embody the spirit of Kyokushin Karate.

SHINKYOKUSHIN

KA Dojo is an affiliate of WKO Shinkyokushin, the largest Kyokushin organization in Singapore.

Shinkyokushin, also known as WKO Shinkyokushin, is the reformed version of the International Karate Organization KyokushinKaiKan, which was originally founded by Sosai Masutatsu Oyama. After his passing, his pupils, driven by his strong passion for the art, restructured it into a Non-Profit Organization (NPO) called the World Karate Organization ShinkyokushinKai. The organization strives to become the “strongest and largest Budo organization” while working towards further developing full-contact karate and aiming to include karate in the Olympic Games.

A former member of the elite Naval Diving Unit (NDU) during his National Service, Shihan Quah embodies perseverance, endurance, and commitment—qualities that have shaped his journey as both a martial artist and a mentor. In his younger years, he competed in numerous local and regional full-contact tournaments, further honing his craft and competitive edge.

Now a 4th-degree black belt and a certified associate referee, Shihan Kelvin Quah is devoted to developing fighters with heart and character. He instills in his students the values of the dojo kun (training hall oath), encouraging them to live by these principles both inside and outside the dojo.
